A common problem in rural and impoverished Guatemalan communities is lack of basic health services. With no ability treat common ailments like parasites, diahrea, fevers and colds, simple issues evolve into more complicated illnesses that cause children to lose weight and become malnourished.
Proyecto 1 partners with local health organizations to improve existing services, increase capacity, and expand their reach to serve more people.
Our current health care partners include:
- Hermana Edna's Malnutrition Center in San Agustin, Zacapa
- Malnutrition Center in Teculutan, Zacapa
